I am a Recipient and My Package was delivered to Third Party and I verified that within an hour monitoring the Tracking number and reported the issue to FedEX Immediately and did multiple followup's and finally after multiple calls they are now asking the sender to go through the claim process.
Each time Myself or sender called to trace the package we were given different reasons or Information for Package not being delivered.
1st Call.

FedEX Representative notified us that the Address was not listed correctly by sender and later they confirmed the same address where the package was supposed to be delivered.

They said the package was delivered to 55 Qell Road, Edison, NJ which is a Commercial Shopping Mall instead of 381 Parsonage Road, Edison, NJ .
They notified us that Driver will collect the package.
2 nd Call. FedEX Representative stated the package was delivered to the correct address and when i provided the information which they provided in my First call they stated that there is some issue with the Fed Ex Bar Code and confirmed that the package was not delivered correctly by Driver and no information who is the driver and which is he going to pickup and deliver it back to the correct address and notified that they will call us once they here back from Driver.
3rd call. We waited for the call from FedEX finally after two days when we call back they are asking us to claim for the package and gave us the silly reason that they cannot check with the driver or call driver as driver will be driving and will not be allowed to take calls as per New Jersey law.

As per the conversation and experience tracking this package i personally feel that the representatives we are talking to have no adequate information to share with the clients and the false information provided each time.
The FedEX delivery process has a flaw in delivery as it could not pick up the package inspite of notifying them immediately that the package was delivered incorrectly.
